A Town of Payson application is required to be submitted directly to the Town of Payson Human Resources Department.
Salary Range: $68,453 - $102,690 per year
This position provides supervision of Public Safety Telecommunicators who perform a variety of complex duties involved in the receipt and dispatching of emergency calls for law enforcement, fire, medical and animal control, as well as other emergency assistance. Supervises the receiving and dispatching of requests for police services to the community. Must have the ability to analyze situations quickly and respond with appropriate action within division guidelines. Briefs the Commander(s), Support Services Administrator, and/or the Police Chief on exceptional incidents. GIS skills are an integral part of this position with responsibilities including evaluating effectiveness and accuracy of data, resolving issues and assisting in the development and creation of map layers to enhance public safety operations. Shift work, weekend and holiday work is required. The incumbent exercises considerable independent judgment and work is reviewed by the Commander.
