Purpose of the Job
The purpose of this position is to administer and provide deliverables related to two early literacy/parent outreach grants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Interacts with the public on a regular basis and implements curricula that promotes Early Literacy. Continually develops ways to reach various County populations through presentations, media and one-on-one trainings. Coordinates and/or attends community events promoting Early Literacy and the First Things First Early Literacy Programs (Imagination Library).
· Completes grant applications, manages successful grants, writes necessary reports, attends mandatory grantee meetings and conducts presentations at grantors meetings. Manages registrations for First Things First Early Literacy Programs (Imagination Library); conducts annual parent satisfaction survey.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
Bachelor’s Degree or related experience.
MINIMUM YEARS OF DIRECTLY RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Two (2) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS REQUIRED/PREFERRED
