Police Officer/Recruit

The Globe Police Department is currently inviting individuals interested in or continuing a career as a Police Officer with the City of Globe Police Department.  Arizona P.O.S.T. Certified Officers and Recruits are both being considered. The City of Globe will pay recruits wages and all costs to attend an 18-20-week AZPOST certification course, if needed. Arizona POST Certified Officers will be given preference and may start at higher than minimum salary rate.

 REQUIREMENTS ARE:

• Minimum Age 21 (by end of AZPOST certification course)
• High School Diploma or GED
• No felony or disqualifying criminal convictions
• A valid Arizona State Driver’s License or ability to obtain one
• Able to pass background investigation
• Able to pass physical exam, written exam, departmental physical agility test and oral board
• Able to pass AZPOST approved drug screen and polygraph exam
• Ability to learn the applicable laws, ordinances, and department rules and regulations
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, peers, and supervisors
• Ability to follow verbal and written instruction, communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Most importantly, the ability to work respectfully with the public
• Lateral Arizona Post Certified Peace Officers will be given preference
