Police Officer / Police Recruit

The Globe Police Department is currently inviting individuals interested in or continuing a career as a Police Officer with the City of Globe Police Department.  Arizona P.O.S.T. Certified Officers and new Recruits are both being considered. The City of Globe will pay new recruits their wages and expenses to attend a 24-week AZPOST approved Policy Academy.

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ARE:

• Minimum Age 21 (by end of AZPOST certification course)
• High School Diploma or GED
• No felony or disqualifying criminal convictions
• A valid Arizona State Driver’s License or ability to obtain one
• Able to pass background investigation
• Able to pass a medical physical exam, written exam, departmental physical agility test, psychological test and oral board
• Able to pass AZPOST approved drug screen and polygraph exam
• Ability to learn the applicable laws, ordinances, department rules and regulations
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, peers, and supervisors
• Ability to follow verbal and written instruction, communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Most importantly, the ability to work respectfully with the public
• Lateral Arizona Post Certified Peace Officers will be given preference

 STARTING SALARY (Sworn officers): $57,924.00 - $63,861.00 Grade 18, Steps 1-3    Lateral transfers are negotiable
