Summer Youth Participant - Human Resources - $14.70 Hourly

Various Locations, AZ - Temporary

• We are looking for, adaptable, well-rounded individuals, who are seeking insight into the workings of local government, explore new career avenues and acquire lifelong skills. 

• Temporary employment assignments are open to high school juniors and seniors, those enrolled in the next college semester and young adults and are based on entry-level professional job descriptions, which will involve a great deal of independent and team-oriented work under the guidance of a supervisor and mentors. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs clerical office duties including data entry, filing, mail processing, faxing, and copying, reception duties, and other general administrative and clerical support functions.
• Provide support with special projects.
• May include attendance of Board of Supervisors’ Meeting or senior staff meeting.
• Perform grounds keeping duties.
• Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers or axes.
• Gather and remove litter.
• Trim shrubs and pull weeds.
• Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger.
• Rake and prune grounds as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Required 

• Employment Standards:

  Must be at least 16 years of age.
