Requirements

5 years of housekeeping experience, with 2 years in a lead or supervisory role, required
High School or GED equivalent, required
Associates degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience, preferred.
Certification from recognized association or certification program preferred
Current and valid AZ Driver’s License.

Oversees the daily operations and performance of the Environmental Services Department; establishes conditions and standards, service and work practices; hiring, coaching and training of staff, assess compliance and quality and make adjustments as they relate to cleanliness

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (include, but not limited to the following)

 Supervises, monitors and schedules work activities of Environmental Services to ensure compliance with established departmental policies and standards

Reviews daily log sheets to ensure adherence with established quantity and quality standards
Performs routine and ad hoc inspections of completed work activities of staff; identifies areas for corrective action
Investigates and follows up on complaints in a timely manner and generates appropriate resolution to concerns/issues
Assists in establishing cleaning schedule for all buildings; modifies as needed
Assists in establishing and/or reviews cleaning requirements
Assists in Managing and approving timecards and staff requests for leaves
Participates in recruiting and selecting staff, initiating staff development plans, disciplinary action and performance evaluations
Identifies and recommends education and training needs of staff designed to further skills and knowledge
Assists in establishing and monitoring inventory levels of office and janitorial supplies and equipment
Assists in establishing and implementing routine preventive maintenance program; identifies and recommends replacement of equipment and/or supplies as needed
Participates in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality assurance programs/initiatives
Participates in a variety of department and hospital educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identifies and discusses performance or training needs with Leads
