The City of Globe is seeking a Recreation and Special Events Manager.  This position holds multiple responsibilities including year-round management of special events, year-round management of pool facilities, seasonal management of pool operations and recreational programming development as needed.

Responsibility for the overall operation of the Globe Community Center Pool, to include hiring and training of lifeguards, prioritizing, and assigning work, delegating responsibilities to Lead Lifeguards, creating an environment of quality customer service, ensuring employees follow policies and procedures; and ensuring the safety of all who use the facility.

Special event management responsibilities include planning, organizing, managing, and evaluating the activities, budget, facilities and equipment, staff, contractors, and volunteers for the City of Globe's special events, as assigned; and assisting in the annual department budget process.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Certified American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid & CPR/AED certificate
  • Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO) certification within six months of hire
  • 2 years of event planning, managing, and evaluating experience
  • Must be able to work at various locations and varying shifts, holidays, weekends and evening hours
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s license required
Salary50,037.00 - 55,186.00 Annual
